i believe not in god but the great ommipresent invisable pink unicorn!!

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

i just happen to find this rare gem of a article on wikipedia while searching up another phrase "i believe in the FSM!" which left me wondering what the fuck is FSM?

well… i’ll save u the 10 seconds it takes for u lazy buggers to type it out on yahu or gogle.. it means "flying spagatti monster" =) u can go look it up if u’re interested in a really qurky way to protest against something

the thing about religion is that it tends to rely on blind faith and believe in the ommipresent and all power god in everything it comes into contact with.

lets say a relative is dying… and people ask u to pray and sacrifice something… 2 senarios could happen..

1. he/she dies

to which people will tell you god/goddess wants him/her to be with him/her ( god/goddess is unisex i think or he could be male or female? depending on which religion you believe in)

2 he/she survives

to which people which tell u god has heard your prayers and you should be happy with that and give more money and spend more time at the  temple/church/mosque/ etc etc….

something interesting right? well.. to religious people thats propostrous!!!! and then i should be burned at the stake and turned upside down and have something really blunt shafed up my you know what..

well.. this is a discussion and we’re discussing so keep those hammers and knifes down and hear me out.. why am i writing this? well, read the following extract :)

" The "believers" famous sayings about faith in the invisible pink unicorn is that, like other religions, it is founded in science and faith. Science - that states that she must be invisible, since we cannot see her. Faith - because we know in our heart that the invisible pink unicorn exists. This is of course a parody of the theological reasoning of other religions. "

enough of that and let me blog! haha… this weekend was really tooo quiet.. i hate quiet weekends..

helooooooO!!!! wow… i think i’ve been bitten by this whole blogging thingy.. the whole letting the whole world know what i’ve been up too and thinking aloud seems to appeal to me some how… then again i tend to say what i’m thinking unconsiencely… and yes i know its a bad habit.. at least my colleagues are having a good laugh about it though :)

went over to vivocity like i usually do to either look for a special someone ( who seems to have changed over the weekend) or to walk walk shop shop a little before heading home like i always do.. i actually did something i wanted to do for a long time.. which is to buy the second book of ‘the dark war’ series by my fave author Raymond E Fiest hehehe….

i’m about 1/3 of the way through the book now though.. and i only bought it 2 hours ago at 8++… and yes i’m a fast reader..

well its 11pm as i right this and my blood pressure is heading northwards cuz i’m lacking sleep… to the nice people who read my blog (”,) good night sleep tight

the leap years

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

tonight i came across a beautiful movie and it pretty much blew away my preception of singapore films being crap ever since i watched a little known movie called "eating air"

Wong li lin was perfect in her delivery of li ann and her supporting cast of friends and Ananda Everingham the dude who played her lover interest match her peformance to a T and of cuz joan chen.. cept for KS who was played by qi wu… he was good but he kinda stood out like a sore thumb among the ones that were outstanding..

i really did feel for her charactor as she battled her own emotions of meeting "the one" and seperating from him.. the 2 hours she spent with him was magical in a word… the on screen chemistry between li lin and ananda was wunderful!

its 11.30pm now and i really need to get to sleep.. but i just gotta write this blog down.. lol… if u haven caught "the leap years" yet i honestly and sincerly hope u take a chunk of time out of your busy life and watch it with your dearest…

you’ll thank me for it ;)

hugs and kisses
